cocot38mini is a more compact model based on the cocot series, with a column-staggered 30% keyboard designed specifically for 25mm trackballs and a dedicated 3D printed case. Despite its smallest practical size, it offers a wide range of functions such as trackball, rotary encoder, etc.

• 25mm trackball with a minimum access distance from the home position
• Reduced height of the top of the ball reduces the burden of moving fingers from the keys to the ball.
• 3D printed case is available and can be ordered with the material of your choice.
• The case is a two-part snap-fit design that requires no screws or spacers.
• Per key backlight & underglow LED & RGB matrix support
• The center key of thumb clusters can be replaced with a rotary encoder (soldering required)
• PGA2040 MCU board (with RP2040) allows customization without worrying about firmware capacity
• Easy keymap change with firmware that supports vial
• MCU and sensor board are removable for easy maintenance

Firmware

With the pre-flushed firmware which is compatible with vial, you can customize your own keymaps easily from the browser or the app. You can also customize the source code from the link below.

Important Notes

• This is a DIY kit and you need to solder some parts by yourself. Make sure you have gone through the build guide before you buy it.
• This kit does not include a 3D printed case. Customers will need to purchase a separately sold case or order one themselves based on the open-sourced data.
• 3D printed parts may have dimension tolerance which makes assembly a little tight or loose.
• There might be minute scratches or chips on the 3D printed parts which do not affect actual usage.
• 3D printed parts (clear) are made of clear resin as raw material. Resin may yellow under ultraviolet light, so please avoid exposing it to direct or natural sunlight for long periods of time.
• This product is designed for 25mm balls; it may not work properly when used with balls other than those specified, such as 25.4mm balls.
• 25mm balls are not suitable for precise movement compared to 34mm or larger balls.
